Investing in high-quality shop front signs is one of the most effective ways to promote your business. It’s a great way to attract customers via foot traffic and to establish yourself as a local landmark. Throughout the city, you’ve no doubt seen any number of panels, decals and blade signs in Brisbane. When you’re dealing with a crowded high street, it can be a great way to get your business to stand out above the surrounding stores. Bold, impactful and striking — they can act as a form of advertising on their own merits.

There are lots of different ways to create shop front signs, and it’s important to consider which one is right for your particular needs. Shop front signs can include fascia signs, window graphics, wall signs, hanging signs, blade signs and more. Your wall front doesn’t need to go to waste, either; some shops will also utilise the wall at the front of the shop or office to advertise via aluminium panel signs or PVC banners.

Many businesses use a combination of some — or all — of these elements to ensure that their storefront stands out from the crowd. Here’s a breakdown of the various types so that you’ve got a clearer picture of which combination of signage might be right for your needs:

    • Fascia signs are usually a panel attached near the front of your door. These may be an aluminium panel, a light-box sign, an acrylic panel with 3D letters and logos or an illuminated LED letter sign.
    • Window graphics commonly use full-colour print vinyl or cut vinyl letters. These are most commonly seen on shop doors, displaying details such as the company name and trading hours. However, they can be used to create larger window displays, particularly for temporary or seasonal marketing.
    • Hanging signs and blade signs are usually double-sided, extruding above the entrance to your storefront. They’re eye-catching, and may be a 3D design forming your logo, feature a lightbox or use neon lighting so that they can stand out day or night.
    • PVC banners can be used both within and outside of your store, either as permanent signage or a temporary, seasonal display.
